Here is the scene, it’s kindy pick up on a Tuesday afternoon. It’s that time where parents have a quick chat with each other or perhaps brush past with just a light polite smile.
Today though I have brought my microphone along and mac to capture a little interview with a fellow kindy mum. Perhaps I didn’t think this through, the look on Roz’s face when she hopped into my car with her youngest son screamed “what have I got myself into?!” The microphone is maybe a little intimidating sitting up there on the centre console.
Inspiration and confidence can be driven by looking at another woman’s life. It can be far more important to just look at how others are doing things and taking what feels good, rather than going to Google and random websites for advice.
This week I invited Roz Petersen into my car.
That sounds so creepy and maybe it was but you would think that Roz sat down at a huge microphone every week. A little bit of a natural!
Roz Petersen is a mother of four, works casually, runs a family business, and volunteers her time to her kids schools and activities. I’m pretty sure she doesn’t sleep and I am completely intrigued by her. She is a woman who helps me pull up my big girl panties… not literally… but when I am internally having a whine about having to do all the things, I now think of Roz to help me just get on with it.
She is a lady I admire and even more so after our chat.
Enjoy this little peek through the window at another busy mother’s life.
