You may be like me and think craft = barf! But the fact is that the school holidays are upon us. No more regularly scheduled program. Much more “I’m boooooorrrrrrrrred!”
So craft appreciation when it is due, right. Just make is easy!
Here are a few Christmas crafts for kids I have been pinning lately. All have passed stringent testing to ensure you won’t be lighting skewers on fire to poke in your eye balls half way through.
1. Fingerprint Christmas Light Card – Crafty Morning
Lets face it, the kid’s fingerprints are all over everything already, why not put them to good use. You could do this on a larger scale for a few frames around the house over the season.
2. Simple Christmas Threading – Picklebums
A great one for preschoolers and one that is pretty mess free once everything is cut up. Keep all the pieces in plastic containers so you can easily grab them when mummy needs a break!
3. Christmas Tree Ornament – Gingersnap Crafts
Can you trust your kid with craft glue? Here is your test. If you don’t, grab some double sided tape and put it on the back of the buttons and glue the sticks yourself.
4. Beaded Candy Cane Ornaments – Fountain Avenue Kitchen
A personal favourite. You’ve got 99 problems but craft glue ain’t one!
5. Kid Friendly Felt Christmas Tree – I Can Teach My Child
Now I know I said easy but this one is just a little bit harder. As in it is bigger and requires more parental involvement but will survive many Christmases to come for long term play.
