Sure you have everything covered. Your house is clean. The babies are fed and clothed. Jeepers, they have even been bathed for the last 6 days in a row. You have got everything going on but you haven’t had an adult conversation outside of immediate family for 3 months!
I find it very easy to get on a roll at home, becoming high strung and just ticking off the to-do list. If I take time out for a catch up with my bestie, 5 minutes and the biggest wave of calm washes over me which 60 minutes of yoga couldn’t provide.
Adult friends are so important for our mental state but sometimes are so hard to maintain. Perhaps you have just moved to a new area. Perhaps life has simply changed and you can’t relate with your friends right now. Perhaps you fell into the wrong tribe.
This week Dr Sash and I are talking about the importance of adult friendships. How to find them, how to keep them and how to get rid of them.
As recently as last night I created a new go-to Mummy Soul Sessions group and I would love you to join. Find out more here.
Who is today’s guest?
Dr Sash is a clinical psychologist and blogger at From The Left Field. She will be on hand this series helping figure out all the junk that floats around in our heads. The do’s, don’ts, why’s and why not’s.
I use her as cheap therapy, shhh!
