I’m not a crafty person in the cloth or glue sense but I do love creating posters and invites on my computer. Of course that incorporates printing them out for all to enjoy and as much as I love creating these things having to replace my printers ink cartridges every couple of months is one of my biggest annoyances of life!
Until this week…
I never knew this love, this connection, this…longevity!
Brought to you by Nuffnang and Epson.
Late last year, I had enough of my little printer and its expensive cartridges so I went on the hunt for a new one. I hit up the review sites for recommendations on printers with ink that lasted longer than a Netflix binge session.
But I couldn’t find any.
So I left it.
Now, I haven’t read “The Secret” but I think I have the gist because this week Epson sent me one of their brand new EcoTank printers!
The Epson’s EcoTank range, which has just launched in Australia comes with two years of included ink (4000 pages in black/6500 pages in colour)! It really is a dream come true. No more running out of ink or having to fork out money for ink cartridges every 6 months!
Also, another exciting factor for me was the wi-fi connection! My old printer didn’t have this so being able to print from any computer or device anywhere in the house is quite the novelty.
Anyway, I will stop lusting over my new printer, to try this baby out I set it up (across the room from my desk, just because I can) and started on a new project for the kid’s rooms.
We have started talking about moving the baby girl down to the other end of the house. To the “kid zone”. I’m not ready yet but it will be soon. With a blank wall between the doors of the kid’s rooms, I thought it would fun to make some super room signs to adorn the walls.
We are superhero crazy here of course!
I thought I might share them with you too and have made them pointing in both directions so you can choose to print whichever direction (left/right) you need. If you want to? If you have enough ink? Cheeky.
I picked up some cheap A4 certificate frames from BigW to use with these posters. They are handy to have. You can also see I used one for my BLOOM poster above.
So I raved on about the Epson EcoTank and you are probably thinking that’s all well and good but what about the price if I have all these benefits? Well, it is a little more of an outlay in the beginning. The range starts at RRP$449 but when it does come time to refill those tanks the system has low-cost replacement bottles (RRP$16.99 per bottle, 4 bottles total lasting up to 2 years). Really I think Epson’s EcoTank printers are well worth it. Going back over invoices for ink cartridges this financial year alone I am looking at around $200! I am very happy to skip that regular purchase and print all my heart desires.
I was not paid for this post but was gifted an Epson EcoTank Expression ET-2550 RRP$499. Honestly, I am in love! A printer with longevity on ink and wifi connection was on my shopping list and until now I wasn’t able to find what I was after. Never did I expect to find a printer with up to 2 years of ink! If it wasn’t gifted I would have been buying, seriously.
What mundane task drive you batty?
Is it replacing printer ink cartridges like me?
