Wine is always a good go-to gift but the normal run of the mill, local bottle shop can be a little, well, boring!
When Vinomofo asked if they could send me their Collaboration Case
I thought it was a really great opportunity for free wine to see these legendary labels for myself. You will see what I mean!
Vinomofo’s Collaboration Case is very easy to drink, believe me! But ups the heartfelt thought factor when giving wine as a gift.
This product talk is brought to you by Nuffnang and Vinomofo.
Here is who I would be giving each bottle in the case to:
For your girlfriend who needs cheering up because her daughter has dropped their day sleep
You grab some glasses, a bottle of Fanny Lime Head Clare Valley Riesling and a mat and escape outside on a Friday afternoon. The kids have a play while you toast surviving another week of motherhood. You have been friends long before the kids come along and can suggest throwing on some home brand chicken nuggets to feed the troops without feeling inadequate. It would never be thought that you were giving this gift without haveing at least a glass yourself!
For the friend who’s house leaves you in awe, that most conversations start with you asking where she purchased that embellished cross/juju hat/Moroccan pouffe
Arcadia Bohemia Yarra Valley Chardonnay… the name has bohemia in it! Full stop, well exclamation mark. Don’t be concerned by the Chardonnay. Firstly, this bottle is now happily empty at my place, ’twas good. Secondly, this friend has moved on from the Sauv Blanc trend. Against the grain is her way of life. Chardonnay is the new black. Plus there is a skateboard and a flamingo on the label. Hello hipster!
For your Uncle who you hardly see but he is turning 60, having a party and you are going to play an adult and gift without going in with your parents
Old Money Coonawarra Cabernet Sauvignon. Gifting a sophisticated red, highlights to your uncle that you have grown up and that you are now awesome at adulting. The label is very fancy and the words ‘Hand Crafted’ highlight the unique and rare formulation. Like little man-bunned pixies gently massaged the grapes by hand.
For the mate who never grew up and is still “batching”, living life like a 24-year-old left out in the sun
Art of War Barossa Valley Shiraz. Gifting this red is encouraging him to grow up but you know it could quite possibly be shot out of the navel of his latest
conquest love. The label is asking to be displayed and after it is drunk it will take pride of place on his mantle beside his Ibiza nightclub lanyard and jar of beer bottle caps. But hey, you didn’t put it there and it was gifted in the class it deserves.
For the close friends in which every catch up ends in thorough conversations straight out of the gutter
The Orgy McLaren Vale Grenache Shiraz Mourvedre. It’s always messy, always fun and the conversation always goes below the belt catching up with this couple. You wouldn’t have it any other way! The Orgy’s label is a talking piece in itself. Cover your eyes if you are a little Prudence McPrude, perhaps this one isn’t for you.
For your husband’s work collegue you have never met
Duck Sauce Yarra Valley Pinot Noir. You have been invited to the house warming of one of your husband’s work colleagues. You know his name is Craig… and that is all but are you going to miss a night out child free? Hell no! Duck Sauce is a classy red with a bit of spunk.! It is not your run of the mill, I just ran into the closest bottle shop tipple. The label “says” it’s a little bit fancy and a little bit fun. Hopefully, that is how your date night will play out too.
The good wine/rad label combo is a rare find but that is what this wine company is all about. Vinomofo has a huge array of wines that the team personally select but the Collaboration Case may just be a regular in this house!
You too can join the Mofo Tribe by clicking the link below. You can win a case of wine just by signing up plus free shipping on your first order and $25 welcome credit. Just doing the sums… you could pick up this case for around $65!
Cheers to that!
