Have you listened to this week’s Mummy Soul Session podcast?
You would have heard that I am suddenly losing my voice. Seriously, I know I am always jabbering on about illness at the moment but this is my life and the cards I am being dealt. My husband suggested it was time to bring down the bubble and call in the bio-hazard team.
He is possibly right.
Anyway, since I recorded that intro, sounding like a 1940’s bar hag, I have completely lost my voice. Gone! I am at times randomly audible but mostly I honk.
Ari is taking full advantage of the situation. He has only let up on the evening book read but proceeded to carry on like a pork chop when it was lights out so I was forced to raise my honk at him!
Well, that doesn’t sound the best…
Links I am loving this week:
- So super proud of my old friend Lisa who has opened up her own cafe in the Southern Highlands. BabyMac Beth stopped by to check it out.
- I love Chiang Mai! This post made me want to go back though these pictures show a very different Chiang Mai to the one I saw.
- Hello, iPhone updates!
- Have you entered the world of Snapchat? I think I have only just wrapped my head around it. Stacey from Veggie Mama gives the run down on her faves who snap good things.
- Have a Thermomix? Like cake? Fat Mum Slim has created the ultimate in posts for you (and me!).
- And I know she is probably going to link this up but OMG, what an amazing, heart-full idea is TOMFO’s 70 birthday letters tablecloth (I won’t actually link here, you should check it out below, I’m in trouble if she doesn’t link up!).
Link up your weekly link list or just your favourite post of the week if you are not of the link list kind.
Please link only ONE post. This makes it fair for everyone and allows more posts to be read. Ta y’all!
If you are not a blogger and you are wondering WTF?? Jump in and find some awesome pieces of online goodness found around the traps this week on the buttons below.
The link-up will remain open until midnight on Monday. Jump in, get involved and spread the link up love around.
The Ultimate Rabbit Hole has some awesome co-hosts – Sammie at The Annoyed Thyroid, and Shannon at My2Morrows. So link up here and you will appear across all three blogs.
Grab a cup of tea or other beverage of choice and jump on in!

Have a merry weekend y’all! x

Oh snapchat- still figuring that out! Hope your voice comes back ASAP!
I’m not a regular but seems fun.
Hope you find your voice again – I’m pleased you still have an “online” voice at least! How awesome was Sarah’s letter tablecloth? She has all the best ideas! I was pretty stoked to see one of my cakes in Fat Mum Slim’s round up and am pretty excited about some weekend baking. The only problem is which one should I make first?! I have serious FOMO after reading Stacey’s snapchat post, I must get on the Snapchat train! Hope you have an ace weekend xx
Hope you have had a brilliant one too Sammie. xx
Oh no! Not sick again. We are a bit the same here at the moment. Just been up all night with Mr 14 with raging temps and vomiting. Poor little soul. I do hope your healthy stage returns to the home very swiftly! xx
I thought we were going down with gastro today and I was freaking out waiting for an explosion. Sick since April basically. The house has had maybe a fortnight off it the whole time. Very done! I hope Mr 14 is feeling better tonight. x
Hello lovely, I was going like what’s with the duck? Then I realised, sorry to hear, you’ve lost your voice, hope you get better soon. Xx
Thank you so much for the love about my 70 birthday letters as a tablecloth, it turned out to be an amazing experience. I think everyone should try it at least once.
I’ve never been to Chang Mai but that is on my bucket list.
Have a great weekend lovely, I’m off to listen to your podcast after soccer is done xx
It’s goose… isn’t it? I’m not an expert at farm animals but I thought goose. Hahahaha!
Oh no Karin! Hope your voice comes back soon. I’m yet to jump on board with Snapchat. So many social media channels, not enough time! Might have to get my teenage nieces to give me an introduction. Get well soon xx
There is too much to have your finger in every pie. I’m not a regular on Snapchat. Sometimes it is quite boring. Maybe I not following enough people.
I hope you get your voice back very soon that’s no fun at all. Am off to check out the Thermomix cakes now! X
I have basically got it back today. Not 100% but nearly. I didn’t get away with reading an early reader book tonight. 😉
Off to check out the Southern Highlands cafe – I’ll be there over the next few months. Hope your voice has returned?
Yes it is back. Not 100% but I would say I’m at 90% now. We won’t talk about it but everyone is fairly fit this week! Shhh!
That cafe looks totally worthy of trip to visit! I hope you are feeling better hun and your voice is back soon xx
I can’t wait to visit myself xx
I loved Sarah’s tablecloth. What a genius idea.
I just don’t have the patience to learn snapchat but I am snap curious I must say.
I hope you’ve got your voice back by now. Not fair when you have to parent without a voice! Xx
