Everyone has their favourite apps. I have a number that I use almost daily.
When a new app came on my radar just last week its sheer brilliance made me want to shout it from the roof tops.
So here is my roof top.
And here are a few top apps for life in general… according to me.
STOCARD free for iPhone, Android and Windows
Life changer people! Life Changer! So all those customer loyalty cards that hang out in your purse grab them, scan them and then throw them in the bin! This little app stores all your loyalty card’s barcodes in one place, your iPhone! It even keeps track of any offers you have with each program. Only my Boost Juice card was left out. Every single other card that wastes its life inside my purse got uploaded. A backup is also available for just in case.
RAIN RADAR free for iPhone
So you have a pile of washing in the machine and it is looking a bit gloomy outside, how do you know if that gloom is heading your way or it will just pass right by? Rain Radar! So much easier than jumping on BOM and clicking on a thousand links to look at the radar. This little app just takes me straight there and is damn accurate coming straight from the source. Favourite your closest radar location and you are set.
VACCIDATE free for iPhone and Android
Another fairly new one for me. When I had Ari I was on track with everything and it isn’t that I don’t trust myself with Leni it is just my mind spends its days tracking in a million different directions…ok I don’t trust myself to remember Leni’s vaccination dates. Vaccidate is a simple app that keeps track of all that for you. Nicely set up, you can load in all your kids and notifications fill you in when their vaccinations are due up until 4 years of age.
TUNEIN RADIO free for iPhone, Android and Windows
I first got TuneIn Radio when I was living in northern Queensland and the radio stations where abysmal PLUS I couldn’t get Triple J! This is when TuneIn entered my life and saved my weary ears from 20 track cycles. TuneIn is the largest collection of free music, sports, talk and news radio with over 100,000 stations to choose from. The app is also compatible with my iPad which is where I often play it from at home. I certainly can’t complain of musical boredom any more. Don’t get me even started on Spotify! Be still my heating heart!
NIKE+ TRAINING CLUB free for iPhone and Android
OK, I love this app but I must say I spend more time flicking through the workouts then actually working out! It is your own personal trainer in your pocket. With over 100 workouts including special guest trainers, a selection of durations, abilities and formats, this app is suitable for anyone looking to get there 20 minutes+ a day. Your own playlists can be used for each workout and I find the whole app visually motivating too.
What is your favourite app for your life?
