Only recently, I have started using Instagram “properly”. I’m definitely no Gary Pepper Girl but I get it now.
Before this I just used it to post photos through to Facebook for the sake of having an Instagram account. I never really thought about how I can do it better or about how the wider insta community of extremely talented people are using Instagram for good instead of mundane.
I love it when others share their favourite Instagramers so I thought today I would share a few of mine.
Ames Collective design skateboards but their images on Instagram really tell each boards story and the person who would ride it. I love the brights. I love the culture. I love the boards. Even if skate isn’t your thing the imagery is great.
Kirsty is a lifestyle photographer based in Abu Dhabi. Her insta account is iPhone only and really highlights the phones capabilities especially with the help of apps. The softness of her photography takes me away and makes me want to go out and explore. Kirsty’s blog is also damn cute.
With over 25k followers, you may have heard of Captain and the Gypsy Kid. I love the locations this very perfect family travel to and capture. Sheree’s tag is ‘Style inspired by small folk’. These small folk are obviously not the same small folk I inhabit with as I am yet to see a snot snail trail or yoghurt smear on this stunning mama. The ride is whimsical though.
Children of the Tribe oozes the essence of north coast New South Wales. Cool kids and awesome clothes paired with stunning photography. I look at the kids and think these little people are the cool cats of the future. Children of the Tribe have an online store where you can purchase the items you see. Very dangerous territory for me.
Again another ‘gramer that you may already follow but one I adore. Joy’s photography is delicate, beautiful and full of heart. Check out her blog which I just noticed features a recent New York wedding she captured. Stunning!
I begun following Sash on Instagram through her blog which I discovered through Clever Cookies. I love the brightness and how she captures her day. She has all her pieces in the right place. Her style is a little different from some of the types of photography I have mentioned in the ‘gramers above, but more how I like to photograph life. Bright. Radiant. I also love the Aussie feel.
Now it is your turn. I love new people to follow so please share your faves!
Oh and don’t forget to follow me too! 🙂
