Ahh! Sweet December.
I hope you all had a beautiful Christmas.
This house was very lucky with a sudden change of plans meaning my husband was home with us to celebrate the actual day anyway. My wish come true! We have been very lucky to enjoy a month all together. Perfect at this time especially this year when I am beginning to slow down with my body constantly reminding me I am growing another human-bean here.
December is all about the lead up to Christmas and then we have these few beautiful days of rest before the refresh of a new year. My favourite! This little family have spent the weekend on the couch and not venturing too far from home.
I am Taking Stock with Pip Lincoln again this month because I love doing it and I love reading others (share your Taking Stock post below).
Making: My favourite Potato Salad for every guest, visit or just because I can.
Cooking: Low carb meals since being shown the Gestational Diabetes card. I have figured out how to work the potato salad in.
Drinking: Beautiful H20.
Reading: I finished Baby and a Backpack by Jane Cornelius this month and now just going through the masses of magazines around the house before I start my Year of Australian Writing in 2015.
Wanting: Someone to come clean my house and pack up all the Christmas decorations.
Looking: At all the online Boxing Day sales. Lucky I am treating my credit card nicely.
Playing: Christmas Carols, to my husband’s delight and my new MOS Chill Out CD (I’m so old school)
Wishing: For another rainy peaceful day like today, tomorrow.
Enjoying: A long stay at home for my husband. We have been very lucky this Christmas.
Wondering: How this little baby will make her entrance into the world. It is all starting to sink in that I am at the end now and it is only a matter of weeks.
Loving: Ticking a few paperwork-y things off my to-do list today.
Considering: Packing up the Christmas decorations. I like clean on New Years Day with the past year packed away.
Watching: The final season of Sons of Anarchy. They certainly have turned the violence up a notch. Not sure I can handle it. I have gone all soft in my “delicate state”. Do you watch SOA?
Needing: To get back to a box that I pulled out of the cupboard to sort through…and promptly got distracted. Squirrel!
Smelling: The last little bit of my Glasshouse Night Before Christmas candle. So beautiful.
Wearing: Anything that fits at the moment. Elastic waist pants are my friend.
Noticing: How quiet it is around the neighbourhood. I think everyone has enjoyed some lazy time after all the festivities.
Sorting: Through cupboards filled with things in “storage”.
Buying: A few very cool prints from Toucan.
Getting: Excited for a wee baby shower my family and friends are putting together.
Bookmarking: Lots of blogging posts about getting organised for 2015 like this one.
Disliking: All the horrible news of late. What is happening! Urgh, let’s not go there.
Opening: Christmas presents from loved ones.
Giggling: At Ari asking me if he can open the advent calendar everyday after Christmas. I think he is finally getting the picture.
Feeling: So tired and over lugging this belly around. Only a few more weeks.
Snacking: On tomatoes because I can (glucose free!)
Hearing: The little boys club playing away in the lounge room. Happy for the extra time Daddy is home, Ari is putting him to good use.
