Well, that title sounds super sci-fi, doesn’t it?
It’s not really my intention but I’m in.
I am rounding out this season of the Mummy Soul Sessions with sharing a bit of a transformation of sorts. Changes that I really didn’t even recognize I was making but naturally happened because, well, I needed them.
Do you feel like you are dishing out all the “yes” because you simply feel you should or, like me, you don’t want to miss out on anything? What if your net is so large that now when you leap into it you suffocate?
The thought of doing all the things I had on my plate with the looming arrival of baby number three had me gasping for air so I began to do what I normally would, I started, just quietly, tip-toeing out of the room.
Perhaps no one would notice I had gone.
Perhaps I wouldn’t notice it all gone!
Perhaps it would all just continue to loom over me with the added guilt I had stacked upon myself for just dropping all the balls and standing amongst them.
We all know which it would be.
I realised it was time to gather some self-respect, ditch the guilt and create some space and boundaries in life that were my decision, not forced by my indecision.
Choices and fences… that is what this episode is all about. The choices that I have stood by which have allowed me to move forward and not look back. Plus the lovely white picket fences I have built in my mind that create space between me and the overwhelm.
What is one boundary you would like to create to help you breath easier? Let me know in the comments. Oh, and very important, what colour would you paint that fence! 😉

P.S. I am currently listening to the audiobook of Danielle LaPorte’s White Hot Truth and some of her speech from that night when it all hit home (I speak about it in this episode) can be found in chapter 8 of the book. Completely worth your time if you are a seeker of “more”.
Yes, this is the last episode of the season but why not check out some of the great chats and interviews from the past 12 months?
