I can’t believe it has been 7 months since I filmed Leni having her first taste of solids.
As part of an ecourse on happier mealtimes I recently completed, I watched a YouTube clip of a family eating dinner. Just sitting down and having a family meal, and I loved it! I learnt so much! OK, so it wasn’t a stock standard dinner but one to help fussy eaters. I love to know what goes on in other households. I watch without any judgement and just take on others ideas. For me, it is the best way to learn.
So, inspired by that YouTube meal here we are! I am letting you in on my mornings. Soon after getting out of bed (for real!) I turned on my camera so you can have a peak on what I feed my baby girl for breakfast. I can’t believe I have actually done it but hopefully there are other people out there, just like me, who love to see what others are up to feeding their kids.
Brought to you by Heinz.
Leni loves her finger foods but I do like to use breakfast to get some extra good stuff into her diet.
With all the troubles I have with Ari’s diet, I am so cautious with how I feed Leni. I know Ari’s issues aren’t from my foundations (or are they, eeck) when he was a baby but the scrutiny I am sure any mother puts herself through makes me concerned for history repeating.
Leni eats everything (plus some) that I eat.
I like the reassurance of spoon-feeding as part of breakfast for Leni as well as her finger foods as for the rest of the day she feeds herself.
As you can see, I still use Heinz as support crew with feeding the kids in my busy mornings.
I like to be able to add a bit of fruit to Leni’s yoghurt without having to put in the effort.
Look at me in this clip! Do I look like someone who comes bursting out of bed ready to gourmet it up?? I don’t think so. Show me nutritious but make it easy!
Heinz baby food is just the good stuff, the pouch and jar products are steam cooked in country Victoria. I have the confidence that it is a helping hand in my baby’s nutrition.
The switch from starting solids to finger food happens so fast. Just as you have the hang of one thing, your baby is ready to move onto the next. I hope this helps, seeing what my 12-month-old eats.
What is the main go to for breakfast in your house each morning?
